The most difficult and personal thing I’ve ever written was also the most read article on Thirty Roses last year. It took 8 months to write because I couldn’t get through it. I held onto it for quite some time as I couldn’t figure out where to publish it, then it seemed glaringly obvious that Thirty Roses was the only place it belonged. Since then it’s been shared all over and has resulted in me getting some of the most lovely and heartbreaking emails to ever hit the Thirty Roses inbox.
