Happy Wednesday!

As things have picked up here at Thirty Roses HQ and we became somewhat lax in our Happy Weekend posts, it became apparent that many people had grown quite fond of them. We would constantly get emails and messages asking where Happy Weekend was and sending suggestions on what we might include when it returned. Last week an extraordinarily special request came in as it was from one of my favourite people ever. Obviously this isn’t Happy Weekend and we’ve no plans to turn Happy Wednesday into a regular feature, however, this young lady came into my life officially on August 13, 1999, so it seemed that my original team should get the one and only Happy Wednesday. In 1999, this girl was 2 and her sister hadn’t been born yet and their parents trusted them with me. Now the eldest is thriving in high school and will soon be off to university. The younger spends her days penning her latest novel or screenplay and making movies. Somehow, all these years later, they’re very much a part of my life and I’m ever grateful for it. They still speak of adventures we took, songs we sang, stories we read, and all varieties of things which seemed fairly insignificant at the time but 15 years later remain memories to them. Take note: Children pay attention to what you do and what you say. Take that seriously and don’t let them down. Wishing a very Happy Wednesday to you and all, especially my Emmy and my Sadiohead!
