Happy Birthday, Enjoy the Silence

It’s a pretty significant today in case you’d forgotten. On this day in 1990 Depeche Mode released one of the greatest songs ever, “Enjoy the Silence”, from one of the greatest albums ever, Violator. While some of DM’s early material sounds a bit dated now (talking to you, “It’s Called a Heart’), “Enjoy the Silence” is a timeless anthem. Every note, every lyric, every melody remain as perfect now as they were all those years ago.
Today is a day of celebration and reflection so spend it with people deserving of good music.
