Happy Weekend!

Hello, hello! We hope you aren’t suffering the ill-effects of having eaten too much Halloween candy. Did you know that today is marks twenty years since the release of Nirvana’s epic Unplugged performance? While most artists who appeared on the Unplugged series chose to play stripped down versions of their biggest hits, Nirvana opted to perform a set which consisted almost entirely of lesser known tracks and cover songs; save for All Apologies and Come As You Are. The accompanying album that was released sold upwards of 5 millions copies, a DVD of the performance was made available for purchase, it won the Grammy award for Best Alternative Album in 1996, and, perhaps more importantly than all of the commercial accolades, the version of Where Did You Sleep Last Night? from Unplugged is heralded as one of the greatest live performances of all time.
Happy 20th birthday, Nirvana Unplugged.
Much love,
~XO
