It’s festival season, again!!! Even more exciting than that, there’s another great festival hitting the outskirts of Chicagoland! Even more exciting than that, we at Thirty Roses HQ get to be involved with it! We’re super excited to say we’ve teamed up with Macon Raine to help spread the word about the upcoming Moccasin Creek Festival!
Who’s Playing and What is There to do?
Moccasin Creek Festival is going to incorporate the best elements of many festivals, wrap them into one great package on a smaller scale, and actually be…affordable. Most importantly, let’s start with the artists. The focus of Moccasin Creek Festival, or MocFest, is Americana and alt-country music. The lineup is stellar and will feature Robbie Fulks, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, Fred Eaglesmith, Tif Ginn, Matt Poss Band, Swamp Tigers, Chain Station, Bill Poss, Heather & Marty, CeCe & the Bandits, Firebox, Greg Klyma, The Giving Tree Band, and more artists to be announced.
In addition to music, the festival will have great food and beverages, art and craft vendors, a lake with kayak and canoe rentals, a beach, camp grounds, hotels for non-campers, a golf course, and activities for children.
It’s bound to be a weekend that’s great for groups of friends as well as families.
Cost?
Advanced cost for a three day pass is $75; $60 if you’re one of the first fifty people to order one! Single day tickets are priced as follows:
Advanced price: Friday only: $35 Saturday only: $45 Sunday only: $15
At the door: Friday only: $40 Saturday only $50 Sunday only $20 Weekend pass $80
Kids under the age of 16 FREE
MocFest is very similar to Daniel Lanois’ Harvest Picnic at Christie Lake, coupled with the more intimate stages at the bigger festivals. It’s shaping up to be a great time and we’re really excited to be a part of it!
