Why the Lack of Lostprophets Coverage?

Good morning/afternoon/evening one and all; Christine here. More than a few people have emailed and tweeted asking why we’ve stopped sharing updates on the trial of Lostprophets singer Ian Watkins.
While we did initially share the news on this story as it was first breaking, once the details of the situation became known and it was proven true, we made a decision based on ethics, morality, and integrity. While some may argue those things must be put aside to keep people informed, this isn’t BBC News. I’m in a position where I can make decisions I’m comfortable with and not be held accountable to anyone. While I do understand entirely that people will seek this information out elsewhere and its lack of mention here doesn’t make the world a safer place, I made a very conscious decision to not give further attention to the atrocities committed by Watkins and his accomplices.
We apologise if this disappoints some of you and would highly recommend checking out the NME or any number of other outlets to get the full story of Watkins and his trial.

While we at Thirty Roses can’t necessarily change the world, we can make a concerted effort to focus on the more positive aspects of it. By not giving attention and a platform to those who commit deplorable acts, hopefully we’re at least keeping thirtyroses.com an informative and, for the most part, positive resource for advice and news on music and the people who make it.

We wish all the best to Watkins’ former band mates and all those effected by his actions and we hope our amazing readers, subscribers, and supporters understand why we’d rather not muck up Thirty Roses with ‘ickiness.’
