Colbcella gets Daft Punk’d

As we shared last week, French duo Daft Punk were to appear on The Colbert Report last night. Due to a contractual commitment for the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards which prohibits the act from making any appearances prior to the August 25 awards show, Daft Punk had to bail on Stephen Colbert.
Never one to suffer defeat, Colbert made the most of the cancellation and it was brilliant! Using a myriad of ‘guest dancers,’ including Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon, Bryan Cranston, and Hugh Laurie, Colbert crashed the sets of America’s Got Talent and Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, and danced in front of the White House in his attempt to show that, with or without the members of Daft Punk present, ‘Get Lucky’ is still the “song of the summer of the century.”
