Greetings, everyone. If you’ll pardon the interruption from our usually scheduled programming, I want to let my Chicago based readers know that the School of Rock is opening a branch in Oak Park in coming weeks!
No, it isn’t just a film starring Jack Black, it’s also a chain of music schools whose aim is to emphasise the importance of music education and teach children how to play instruments, sing, perform and bring out the inner rock star in each of them.
While the Oak Park branch is having its Grand Opening this Spring, there are branches across the country, so be sure to find one in your neck of the woods. The overwhelmingly positive effects of music on children’s lives has been proven countless times, so get those kids singing and playing an instrument!
