Melissa James

One of the many perks of my ‘job’ is getting to interact with people in many different capacities. Around this time last year, I wrote an article on how to market your band with very little money. In response to said article, I got an email from a very sweet woman in London by the name of Melissa James. Ms. James explained that she was in the process of making her first record and appreciated what I had to say and planned to use my advice. Since that was my first article, I was elated that she had found it useful. Over the course of the past year, a lot has changed for both of us. Melissa’s album release has come and gone, she had an extremely successful (sold out) album launch concert, has become a bit of a darling of BBC 6, and continues to play around London and the vicinity. Melissa and I have developed what I like to consider a special relationship.
